1. Speak to Me / Breathe — Air (Mind)

“Breathe, breathe in the air… Don’t be afraid to care.”

This is the inhale of consciousness itself. Air, the element of thought and breath, begins the journey with open awareness. It introduces the paradox of modern life: encouraged to live freely, yet bound by invisible restraints. Here, we meet the mind of the incarnating soul, still light and formless, beginning to tether to Earth.

2. On the Run — Fire (Will)

Frenzied synths, the panic of airports, adrenaline pulsing.

Fire roars in next: raw, untamed will. It is the anxiety of action without purpose, momentum without anchor. This is the flame of blind ambition, the sprinting body and ego trying to outrun fate. Fire here is survival instinct, tinged with fear.

3. Time — Fire + Water (Desire + Emotion)

“And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you…”

This track marks the emotional reckoning. Fire’s forward charge meets Water’s retrospective mourning. We awaken to the cost of unreflective will. Time reveals how emotional reality (Water) catches up to the unexamined blaze of Fire. A lifetime compressed into a single, aching moment.

4. The Great Gig in the Sky — Water (Soul), dissolving into Aether

A wordless vocal odyssey, full of ecstasy, agony, and release.

Here, the soul surrenders. There are no lyrics, only emotional resonance. This is Water in its purest, most unmediated form: the soul’s cry as it teeters between life and death. Some might say it brushes the fifth element, Aether, the divine field beyond form. It is the release of form, the last exhale.

Where Side One ascends and descends through cosmic archetypes, Side Two plants us firmly in human civilization. It critiques the imbalances that arise when one element dominates or is severed from the others.

5. Money — Earth (Corrupted)

Here is Earth severed from spirit. It becomes greed, possession, structure without soul. The seductive groove lures us into the matrix of consumption, where value is measured in matter, and form becomes fetish. This is Earth worship turned sour.

6. Us and Them — Air and Water (Divided)

“Us and them / And after all, we’re only ordinary men…”

A lament. Air has fragmented into dualistic thought; Water bleeds with grief over separation. Ideology divides, emotion mourns. The human tribe splits into mind-made categories. This is the sad poetry of disconnection.

7. Any Colour You Like — Fire (Lost in Illusion)

A psychedelic instrumental full of swirl and flash.

Fire returns—but now it’s aimless desire, consumer choice, spectacle. The title mocks the illusion of freedom in modern life. The burn of purpose has been replaced by the neon loop of distraction. Flame without fuel, or fuel without a true flame.

8. Brain Damage — Air (Fragmented)

“The lunatic is on the grass…”

Mind unmoored. This is Air in its shadow, where genius becomes madness, and clarity gives way to loops. The mental field has collapsed in on itself. The ego fractures under the weight of unprocessed reality.

9. Eclipse — Integration: All Elements Named, All Seen

“And all that is now / And all that is gone…”

Finally, all elements are recited, acknowledged, integrated. Each pair—mind and body, fear and love, rise and fall—is named. This is the voice of Witness Consciousness, the final synthesis. Yet the eclipse reminds us: even with all seen, light can still be hidden. The moon (illusion) can still obscure the sun (truth).
